Candle Care Instructions
Here are some tips for caring for a candle:
Safety: Keep candles away from children and pets, and never leave them unattended. Place them on a heat-resistant surface and keep them away from anything that could catch fire.
Burning: Burn candles for a maximum of four hours at a time. If you burn them for too long, the wick may move or slant.
Trimming: Trim the wick to the length specified on the label before relighting. You can also trim it to about 5 mm when the wax has set.
Extinguishing: Use a candle snuffer to extinguish the flame to prevent smoking and wax from escaping.
Wax: Allow the wax to pool to the edges of the candle to prevent tunneling. You can also trim excess wax from pillar candles to ensure an even burn.
Wicks: Keep the wick centered and straighten it after extinguishing the flame.
Debris: Keep the wax pool free of debris, such as wick trimmings and matches.
Lighting: Light your candle in a well-ventilated room, away from drafts and fans.
Label: The label on the bottom of the jar will have instructions for caring for your candle.
